Amber Integrated Wins Multiple Awards for Work on “Justice for Julius” Campaign

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma-based public affairs firm Amber Integrated, along with the non-profit Represent Justice, have received multiple awards for their role in the campaign to save the life of death row inmate Julius Jones. Governor Kevin Stitt commuted Julius Jones’ sentence to life in prison in November 2021 after a nationwide movement drew attention to Jones’ claims of innocence and a flawed jury trial.

The American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), a bipartisan and nonprofit organization for political professionals, made the announcement at their annual Pollie Awards celebration. Award winners were scored by over 250 judges, all campaign professionals, evaluating entries based on creativity, production value and effectiveness. The full list of winners can be viewed here

Amber Integrated, Represent Justice and Justice for Julius received a Gold award for best digital campaign, beating two submissions by the Lincoln Project that won silver and bronze. In the sub-category of field organizing, they received a gold award for best grassroots advocacy program. In the sub-category of digital marketing, they received a bronze award for best use of email marketing (non-fundraising).

“We started Amber Integrated in 2020 with the goal of working on big, impactful projects that utilized our full suite of public affairs services,” said Alex Weintz, a partner at Amber Integrated. “The ‘Justice for Julius’ campaign certainly did that. This was a movement that not only saved a man’s life but also spearheaded a national and even international conversation about the application of the death penalty and inequities within our criminal justice system. We are proud to have been a part of this effort and humbled by the honor bestowed on our team by the AAPC.”

In addition to the recent Pollie Awards, Amber Integrated, Represent Justice and the Justice for Julius campaign were also honored with 2022 Reed Awards for Best Advocacy Social Media Campaign and Best Civic Education Resource. The Reed Awards are bestowed by Campaigns & Elections magazine. See the full list of 2022 Reed Award winners here.
